More ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 2 Episode 1 Preview Scenes

“I know people. And I know that our enemies hate each other almost as much as they hate us.” – Tyrion Lannister

When “Game of Thrones” returns for its second season on HBO this Sunday, Peter Dinklage’s name will be the first to appear in the opening credits.

With the demise of Sean Bean’s Ned Stark, it seems only fitting that Dinklage’s beloved Imp, Tyrion Lannister will be recognized as one of the primary characters of the entire series. Last fall, Dinklage won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his turn as Tyrion… and he also picked up the Golden Globe Award for the part a few months later.

Earlier this week, we posted three other preview scenes from the second season premiere, “The North Remembers.” In the latest clip, Tyrion returns to the Red Keep in the middle of a Small Council meeting to announce himself as the new Hand of the King in his father’s absence. Naturally, this doesn’t go over well with the Queen Regent, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

However, Tyrion quickly shows us that he’s lost none of his wit…

In the second preview clip, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the rest of The Night’s Watch seek sanctuary beyond the Wall at Craster’s Keep. Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) is particularly happy to see Craster’s daughters… but he probably won’t like it when he learns who and what they really are.

And finally, the third clip finds Robb Stark (Richard Madden) dictating some harsh terms for peace to Alton Lannister (Karl Davies) before hinting that he knows King Joffrey’s true parentage.

“The King of the North!”

“Game of Thrones” Season 2 kicks off this Sunday, April 1, only on HBO!
