According to the Daily Mail, Spears was allegedly spotted stopping at a Sherman Oaks liquor store shortly before the now-viral dinner at Blue Dog Tavern that had witnesses flooding social media with dramatic play-by-plays.

The footage reportedly showed the “Gimme More” singer arriving with two companions, including a man believed to be part of her security team. Dressed in a black skirt, boots, and a low-cut top, the singer appeared relaxed inside the store and was even seen dancing near the checkout counter at one point.
One member of the group allegedly grabbed a large Twisted Tea from a cooler while Spears added gum to the purchase before paying partly in cash. However, hours later, things reportedly became far less low-key.
Page Six reported that Britney’s dinner at Blue Dog Tavern quickly turned chaotic. Diners claimed the singer was loudly talking, making barking noises, wandering around the restaurant, and repeatedly standing up from the table throughout the meal.
One witness even alleged another diner became frightened after seeing Spears walking near tables while still holding a knife from dinner service.
Still, Britney’s representative strongly denied the more dramatic claims once the story exploded online. “This is completely blown out of proportion,” the rep told The Blast. “She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”
The statement also shut down speculation that Britney posed any danger to restaurant guests. “At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife,” the rep added. “She was cutting her hamburger in half.”
The timing of the incident only intensified concern because Spears recently completed a short rehab stay following her March DUI arrest. Earlier this month, the singer reportedly accepted a plea agreement tied to the case and avoided jail time after pleading to a reduced reckless driving charge.
Meanwhile, insiders speaking to the Daily Mail claimed Britney’s family is still worried about her current circle and fears she is slipping back into unhealthy patterns.
