Ex-Prince Andrew Demands Long List of Renovations in New Home — Source

While ex-Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly preparing to leave Royal Lodge, he is said to be unhappy with his new home. Andrew was stripped of his royal titles by King Charles in October last year, after which he was also ordered to vacate his royal residence. He is now reportedly expected to live on private property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Amid this, recent reports suggest that Andrew toured the house designated for him and found it unacceptable. In fact, it is alleged that he wants to upgrade “every inch” of his new home and expects the King to cover the full cost of the renovations.

After ex-Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was reportedly stripped of his royal title, he was ordered to leave the 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. In fact, the former Duke of York is expected to move into a private property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. This is a smaller, more isolated residence, with accommodation funding reportedly provided by the King himself.

Recently, Rob Shuter of Shuter Scoop reported that Andrew toured his new home and did not like it. According to insiders, he wants his brother to cover the cost of a full renovation of the property. An insider revealed, “He wants a golf course, stables, shooting rights — the works. He’s talking about gutting the bathrooms, redoing the kitchen, rebuilding servant quarters, and upgrading every inch.”

Meanwhile, a courtier revealed that the former Duke of York expects his brother to make the payments for the renovation. They said, “Andrew fully expects his brother to pay. Renovations, security, a fleet of cars with drivers — even a London flat on the side.”

Apparently, Andrew, 65, allegedly felt that the place was “too small” and “isolated” for him. His disappointment was allegedly clear when he toured the house. Sources say that he felt the property was in “the middle of nowhere.” Making the arrangement work requires renovating the house to reflect personal preferences.
