SXSW 2015 Video: Miles Teller Talks ‘Insurgent’

Miles Teller is one of the standout stars of his generation, with award-winning turns in critically acclaimed independent dramas like The Spectacular Now and the Oscar-winning Whiplash. But he’s also a part of some of the biggest blockbuster franchises in Hollywood. This summer he headlines the newly-rebooted Fantastic Four, and next week you’ll see him reprise his role from Divergent in The Divergent Series: Insurgent.

It’s a role that Miles Teller has made all in his own. In this exclusive video from SXSW 2015, he tells us all about his role in Insurgent, and why it sometimes felt like he was making a completely different film than his co-stars. He also tells us about his ongoing tendency to be cast opposite Shailene Woodley, and what it was like having his Spectacular Now love interest kick his freaking ass all over the place in Insurgent.

Synopsis:

THE DIVERGENT SERIES: INSURGENT raises the stakes for Tris as she searches for allies and answers in the ruins of a futuristic Chicago.
