Iggy Pop & Josh Homme Document Their Desert Bromance on ‘Sunday’ Video

Following the release of the remarkably-potent Post Pop Depression this Spring, the leathery legend Iggy Pop has finished a wildly celebrated victory-lap tour alongside his latest backing band, featuring members of Queens of The Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys.

Now the duo of Pop and QOTSA frontman Joshua Homme proudly release the video for “Sunday,” the standout third single from the Rekords Rekords/Loma Vista/Caroline International release. Directed by Andreas Neumann, produced by Homme and Neumann, and edited by Tony Hays, the video gives fans an inside look at Post Pop Depression from its creation at Rancho De Luna up until the band’s first public performance at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles.

Watch below as Joshua chops wood in a leather jacket and rides a motorcycle off into the desert as Iggy does tai chi, finding his footing in the barren landscape. Soon the two are making dark-strut magic between the walls of Homme’s studio hideaway in the Joshua Tree desert, then they’re off to share the goods with an eagerly waiting world.
