Channing Tatum Brings Countless Fantasies To Life With Las Vegas Show ‘Magic Mike Live’

If you were struggling to find a reason to take any interest in life whatsoever (Thursdays amirite?), we here at Crave Online have a juicy little ray of sunshine for you.

Channing Tatum has just announced he’ll be putting together a massive live show off the back of the success of the Magic Mike movies. That’s right, no longer must you drool before your screen in gloomy isolation ladies and gentleman as the male-strip-tactular is coming to Las Vegas.

Announcing the show via Facebook Live, Magic Mike Live (coincidence?) is set to land at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in March 2017. Re-creating Club Domina, the “sizzling 360-degree dance and acrobatic striptease spectacular” from the end of Magic Mike XXL, the show will feature a diverse cast of hunks who will bring the movie to life with “daring themed dance and strip routines”.

Tatum is even kind enough to take the time to introduce a few of the promising young men in the video. And while Tatum himself won’t be performing, let’s just say that he’s leaving things in some very capable (and strong, oh so strong) hands.

Tatum himself will direct, with Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL choreographers Alison Faulk and Teresa Espinosa also back on board and so you know the dancing will still be top notch. Aiming to take the message of the films – that stripping is all about giving women what they want and making them feel empowered – and bring it to life, Tatum is clear that it is about a lot more than nude men to him.

“We want to change what male entertainment is,” he said in the video. “It should be women-empowering, instead of just about the guys going and getting naked,” he added, encouraging fans to go to the show’s website and submit requests for what they want to see.

Pre-empting requests for him to jump onstage again though, Tatum was clear he hadn’t planned on it but was hesitant to rule it out completely

“Look, if I’m ever in shape enough to actually do the show again, I will absolutely step onstage, just because it’s fun,” he said.

Still it’s not like the show doesn’t have some other surprises up its sleeve, with Tatum adding, “I’m sure there will be a ton of crazy cameos.”

In related news, I’m moving to Las Vegas, but in the meantime, you can watch Chay-Tan’s Facebook Live video here.
