Calgary Folk Festival Line-up Includes Whitehorse, Ian Tyson, And Corb Lund And The Hurtin’ Albertans

The Calgary Folk Festival has revealed their 2016 line-up, featuring international, Canadian and local acts galore.

Now in its 37th year, the Calgary Folk Festival will feature nearly 70 artists from more than a dozen countries around the world, like Mauritania, Korea, New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ethiopia. Performers include husband and wife duo Whitehorse, Ian Tyson, Bobby Bare Jr., Ayrad, The New Pornographers, Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans, and more. There will be eight stages in all, with some musicians performing multiple times. View the schedule here.

“We have upped the experiential ante,” said Kerry Clarke, artistic director, to CBC News.

Tickets are now on sale for the Calgary Folk Festival and are being offered at an early bird price of $175. They can be purchased here. The event runs July 21-24 at Prince’s Island Park.
