Exclusive Preview | ‘Karnak’ # 3

It’s the Age of Inhumanity in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe. There are more Inhumans than ever, but Karnak is the only classic Inhuman to currently headline his own solo series, courtesy of writer Warren Ellis and incoming artist, Roland Boschi.

Why does Karnak have his own title? Because even among Inhumans, Karnak stands apart. Unlike his brethren, Karnak has never undergone terrigenesis. Karnak’s martial arts skills and his ability to see the flaws in everything were achieved by training and sheer force of will. Not even the afterlife could hold Karnak! That’s right. Karnak was dead, and now he’s better.

It’s been a while since the last issue of Karnak hit the stands, so here’s a brief recap: Karnak has left New Attilan behind to become a Magister of the Tower of Wisdom. Karnak is even working with S.H.I.E.L.D. to save a kidnapped Inhuman child from a cult known as I.D.I.C.; the cult doesn’t want to harm the boy. They worship him as a God on Earth. And now, Karnak knows that the boy is being held at the Chapel of the Single Shadow.

In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from Karnak # 3, the title character ponders his next move, and he is soon joined by S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Agent Phil Coulson.

And now, here are the covers to Karnak # 3 by David Aja, Yasmine Putri, and John Tyler Christopher, followed by Marvel’s solicitation text for the issue.

• Just when you thought Karnak couldn’t get more intense and insane, it does.

• The trail left by the kidnapped Inhuman gets nuclear and Karnak is caught in the mushroom cloud.

Karnak # 3 will be released on Wednesday, April 20.
