Have you ever wondered why people in comic books donât immediately think that Clark Kent is Superman, or Bruce Wayne is Batman? Sometimes Kent and Wayne are drawn so similarly that they could even pass for brothers!Â
Last nightâs episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live brought a little common sense to the comic book movie world of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While speaking with his special guest Ben Affleck, Kimmel claimed that he had a part in Batman v Superman that was cut out, before proceeding to show the extended clip.
If youâve seen any of the trailers for Batman v Superman, you probably recall the tense meeting of Bruce Wayne (Affleck) and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). But for this scene, Kimmel instantly recognizes Kent as Superman and wonât shut up about. It doesnât take long for Kimmel to out Wayne as Batman as well, and he even shares this vital intelligence with Supermanâs archenemy, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg)!

The cameo by Will Arnett as LEGO Batman was a nice touch, but the crowning achievement of the skit came when Kimmel finally got Superman angry enough to throw him off the planet and send him all the way to Mars! And guess who Kimmel found living on Mars? Itâs his old buddy, Matt Damon from this yearâs Golden Globe-winning Best Comedy, The Martian! For Kimmel, itâs a fate worse than death!
