Exclusive: Unreleased Nate Dogg Vocal Finds Home in SNBRN’s ‘Gangsta Walk’

It’s been five long years since we lost the legendary Nate Dogg, but today sees a revival from the late rapper in “Gangsta Walk,” a previously unreleased a cappella which has been worked into a new track from SNBRN – along with an official music video, premiering exclusively on Crave.

SNBRN (aka Kevin Chapman) was granted access to the previously-unheard Nate Dogg track by Reach Publishing, a rare opportunity. What resulted was an entirely new original song, featuring the only official Nate Dogg material to be released since his death.

As for SNBRN, the Los Angeles-based producer/DJ has become an overnight sensation in the realms of nu disco, house, and indie dance alike. This latest offering is similar to his summer soaked house spin on 50’s Cent and Nate Dogg’s “21 Questions,” though with this offering SNBRN is working with material never before heard from the late hip-hop legend.

“After my remix of 50 Cent and Nate Dogg’s “21 Questions” I was really on the hunt for a rapper with that similar style to collaborate or remix,” SNBRN explains. “One thing led to another and I got one better, an original unreleased Nate Dogg acapella called ‘Gangsta Walk’ fell into my lap.”

Check out the Grizz Lee-directed video below, featuring some pretty damn good porch dance-choreography, exclusively on Crave:

Over the summer of 2015, SNBRN hit the North American festival circuit with performances at the likes of Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Firefly, Hangout, Electric Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, CRS and more.

“Gangsta Walk” is out now via Ultra Records on iTunes, Spotify and beyond.
