Exclusive Preview | Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas

You’d better watch out and you’d better cry, I’m telling you why! Krampus is coming to town…and he’s no Santa Claus! This Christmas spirit punishes naughty children, and really, who isn’t naughty these days?

On December 4, Legendary and Universal Pictures are releasing the Krampus feature film, a horror/comedy by director Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat) which stars Adam Scott and Toni Collette. But before Krampus arrives in theaters to spread Christmas terror, Legendary Comics is releasing Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas, a graphic novel prequel to the film!

Dougherty and his Krampus co-writers Zach Shields and Todd Casey have teamed up with artists Fiona Staples (Saga), Christian Dibari (Hoax Hunters), Maan House (Witchblade), and Stuart Sayger (Bram Stoker’s Death Ship) for Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas. The graphic novel features three original Krampus tales. In the first story, a drunken mall Santa finds himself haunted by a few mischievous Christmas spirits…and hunted by Krampus himself!

CraveOnline’s exclusive preview comes from the second story, which finds a dysfunctional cop trapped with the man who ruined his life.

The final story in the graphic novel follows a very Scrooge-like character as he faces a Christmas invasion by the homeless. He’ll be ho-ho-home for the holidays!

Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas is out today in comic stores everywhere.
