The Spotlight is on ‘Spotlight’ in This Exclusive TV Spot

It happens every year. The days get shorter and colder and Hollywood starts releasing all of their really good movies, in an eager effort to get noticed just in time for Oscar season. That doesn’t mean all of these movies are necessarily any good, but sometimes they really do live up to the hype. Case in point: Spotlight, the intensely dramatic new film from director Tom McCarthy (The Visitor).

Starring Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Liev Schreiber and Rachel McAdams, Spotlight tells the true story of the team of journalists who uncovered a disturbing coverup in the Catholic church, in which a shocking number of priests were revealed to be pedophiles, and the Vatican tried to sweep their crimes under the rug (and succeeded, for years).

It’s a huge story told expertly by Tom McCarthy, and the cast acts the hell out of it. Spotlight is one of the best films of the year, so we’re very happy to be presenting you this exclusive TV spot to give you a preview of the film. See this movie. Trust us.
