Watch The First NON-Holographic Trailer For ‘Jaws 19’

It may be hard to remember this now, but there was a time when the movie franchise that represented blatant, unapologetic, soul-crushing, pointless greed was Jaws, and not [insert movie franchise you particularly like here]. So when Back to the Future Part II came out, and gave us a vision of the future that included the release of Jaws 19, it was funny but it didn’t seem like much of a stretch.

With the date of Marty McFly’s journey into the future coming up and coming up fast, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has finally produced the trailer for Jaws 19, which mercifully catches us all up on the events of Jaws 5-18 which never actually got produced. And apparently we missed out, because a lot of them sound awesome.

Of course, this trailer doesn’t show off any actual FOOTAGE from Jaws 19, which is probably because Jaws 19 was filmed in HoloMax and – like dust-repellant paper, 1980s nostalgia cafés and self-drying clothing – that technology hasn’t actually been invented yet. YOU LIED TO US, BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II. YOU LIED.
