Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Has ‘Super Smash Bros’ Inspired TD Celebration

Although his team suffered a brutal loss to the Broncos Thursday night, last Sunday Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce had the game of his life, reeling in two TDs, one of which was a career-long reception.

I just learned today that his latest TD from last Sunday’s win against Houston involved a subtle yet now obvious inspired move from our friend Donkey Kong.

Here’s more evidence of Kelce’s self-procalimed inspiration from Super Smash Brothers.

Annnddd boom goes the dynamite. 

Touchdown celebrations, for the most part, are banned by the NFL. So it’s nice to know that Kelce is clever enough to get away with something special.
