These Dramatic Readings Of Drake Lyrics By NBA Draft Prospects Are Brilliant

The 2015 NBA Draft prospects: they started from the bottom and now they’re here… reading Drake lyrics with the same dramatic intensity they bring to the basketball court.

Before they filled Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in hope of being signed to an NBA team earlier today, a group of prospective basketball stars have paid homage to the lyrical talents of the Canadian rapper, who is sometimes seen court side at Toronto Raptors games.

Produced by sports publication Bleacher Report, the 2015 “NBA Draft Prospects Dramatically Read Drake Lyrics” video (below) sees a number of up-and-coming ballers get understandably emotional as they read Drake’s poignant words, taken from tracks like 10 Bands, Started From the Bottom, Know Yourself and The Motto.

Some of the players featured in the video include UCLA’s Kevon Looney, Murray State’s Cameron Payne, Eastern Washington’s Tyler Harvey, Syracuse University’s Rakeem Christmas and University of Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Watch the magic unfold, below.

Previously on ‘NBA players doing weird things’, two Aussie NBA stars and their teammates starred in a weird and hilarious ’80s music parody video.

The 2015 NBA Draft is currently taking place, with D’Angelo Russell and Jahlil Okafor already named the first and second picks respectively.
