Fans of the critically acclaimed Mafia series should prepare themselves for some exciting news, one of its voice actors has claimed, leading to speculation that Mafia 3 is in development.
Voice actor Rick Pasqualone, who played protagonist Vito Scaletta in 2010’s Mafia II, posted a tweet to a fan earlier this week saying: “Might have some Mafia news very soon!” In response to other fan who wrote “make Mafia 3,” Pasqualone replied: “Might have some exciting news very soon.”

Though Mafia II proved to be a very popular game, issues with its development studios and publishers led to it not receiving a sequel as soon as fans may have hoped. Though a third game in the series has been rumored for a while, after Mafia II developer 2K Czech’s main offices were closed by 2K Games, Mafia 3 was once again left up in the air.
If the game is on its way and Pasqualone isn’t cruelly toying with us, then it’s difficult to predict who would be working on it. While Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Games, has stated that it has many games on the way for the current generation of consoles, Mafia 3 hasn’t been officially confirmed as being one of those titles. It looks like all that’s left for Mafia fans to do at the moment is hope.
