Pearl Jam Cover The Beatles ‘Rain’ at Bridge School Benefit, Grateful For Clear Skies

 

 While rocking the Bridge School Benefit on Saturday night in Mountain View, CA, Pearl Jam not only brought out Chris Cornell for a Temple of The Dog reunion and pushed the boundaries of appropriateness with a cover of Neil Young’s “Fuckin’ Up” in front of several youngsters onstage (with Neil’s permission, of course), but they also covered the wonderful “Rain” by The Beatles.

Though they’ve dabbled with the cover at one-off shows in the past, the uncommon classic was brought out Saturday in thankful celebration that the skies were mercifully clear through much of the day, after a morning of rain and ominously dark clouds.
