Mark Brunell’s Daughter, Caitlin, Is A Beauty Queen

Remember Mark Brunell, the ‘Pride of the Jaguars?’ If you do, you remember a great quarterback who played for a team with no supporting cast. He even won the Pro Bowl MVP one year. Now it’s his daughter winning trophies

Caitlin Brunell, now 22, brought home the title of Miss Alabama, outscoring 46 other in-state contestants for the coveted crown. It was her third attempt at winning the high-profile competition.

“This is something I have worked so very hard for,” the brunette Brunell told The Anniston (Ala.) Star. “I am so honored and so blessed.”

As a long-term prize, Caitlin Brunell will collect $11,000 in scholarship money (adding to her reported career tally of $86,000). As a short-term reward, she has earned a trip to Atlantic City, N.J. to compete in the Miss America Pageant (September airing).

We all remember Katherine Webb, the fiancee of former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron who won ‘Miss Alabama USA’ 2012 and was instantly made famous after being put on television during the 2013 (’12 season) Bama-Notre Dame National Championship game. Of course no one can predict how the male-driven sports world will react when Caitlin makes her debut on national television this September, but if the dancer makes the top 10 while competing for Miss America she’s sure to make more headlines.

Caitlin’s self-produced philanthropy is one that helps supply less fortunate girls with formal wear. You can read about it on her website at
