PAX EAST 2014: Microsoft, Bethesda and Blizzard Join Over 100 Other Exhibitors on Show Floor

This year’s PAX East is looking to be the biggest yet. Not only is Blizzard is making a mini-BlizzCon out of it, but several other major publishers will be in attendance with games ready for attendees to get their hands on.

We already know several indie titles will be ready to pick up and play, but Blizzard has announced its PAX East lineup. It includes almost every major upcoming game in its arsenal including Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition for the PS4. Not only does this console port run at 1080p with 60 FPS, but it also includes several major adjustments over the PS3 and Xbox 360 version such as higher monster density and shorter loading times. Made better, tomorrow’s Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion will be included as part of the package.

In addition, Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft for the iPad and World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor will be playable. In regards to Warlords of Draenor, several of the upcoming new character models will be part of its demo build (Orc, Gnome, and Dwarf were at BlizzCon), so you can see first hand what sort of impact 10-year newer character models have on the game.

There are over 100 attendees, but most of them are keeping their offerings a secret until the show. The three you should be particularly interested in are Bethesda, Microsoft, and Oculus VR. Bethesda and Microsoft could show just about anything as both are currently working on huge AAA titles. However, the Oculus VR booth is the place you may want to head to first if you haven’t experienced virtual reality before. The new Crystal Cove unit is sure to blow your mind.
