14 Maps Found in Titanfall Beta Files

Titanfall‘s multiplayer-only design has placed a lot of emphasis on its content count. It’s become clear during the beta that unlocks and customization will give the game legs, but maps are equally if not more important. So how many maps will there be to play?

NeoGAF user RazorUK has located map strings in the data files of the Titanfall beta, and they amount to a total of 14. Those maps include the following:

  • Angel City
  • Colony
  • Fracture
  • Relic
  • Airbase
  • Boneyard
  • Corporate
  • Outpost 207
  • Lagoon
  • Rise
  • Smugglers Cove
  • Overlook
  • Nexus
  • O2

There is also a map called Training Ground which is used to train players when they enter the game for their first time.

Fracture and Angel City are featured in the beta, and so far have been received very well by participants for their vertical scale, detail, and reasonable size.

So is 14 maps going to be enough to keep players coming back to March’s most hyped title? If Call of Duty: Ghosts (13 maps at launch) and Battlefield 4 (9 maps pre-DLC) are any indication, the answer to that is yes.

It was previously rumored that 16 would make it for launch. Since this list isn’t final, there’s a chance that a couple more will be thrown in once the launch date of March 11th hits. Either way, more will be added through post-launch DLC.
