Watch: Librarians Recreate Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’ Video, Hilariously

It’s often average, regular people who remind you that life can be pretty awesome once in a while. Chicago-based comedy musicians Mike Ferbrache and Duane Freeman masterminded a new take on the oft-replicated “Sabotage” video from The Beastie Boys, enlisting a group of middle-aged librarians to take on the roles of the beloved rappers.

The lo-fi clip looks like it was made with a flipcam in a local library, which only complements its originality as we see these sunglassed crusaders dealing with criminals hell-bent on stealing books, and even incorrectly re-shelving the books themselves. There’s a very good chance you’ll feel like you’re in middle school again, as these clearly aren’t actresses playing the parts – they’re your perfect stereotype school librarians.
