Imagine Dragons Plan Brief Debut Australian Visit

Australia will receive one of the hottest acts of the past year in the form of Imagine Dragons this October as the Las Vegas band heads Down Under for a debut three-stop tour.

Night Visions is the first album from Imagine Dragons and has been a massive hit since its release last September, selling some 83,000 copies in its first week and enjoying huge chart success before finally being certified platinum in the United States, Canada and the UK last month.

Massive singles ‘It’s Time’ and ‘Radioactive’ will be the main draw for Australian fans heading to Imagine Dragon’s three shows- in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane- but the band’s unique instrumentation that combines a variety of genres, including dubstep, folk, hip-hop, country and pop, make the live performances something to behold.

“We like making raw natural noises and keeping them raw and natural but transforming them into synthetic noises,” guitarist Wayne Sermon says. “We are gearheads. We do a lot of experimenting with percussion that’s electric and acoustic on top of each other.”
