50 Cent has explained how he obtained the footage that helped shape his Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 13, the rapper revealed that the recordings came from Diddy’s videographer, who had apparently not been paid.

“Look, he, you know, when you get a Rico charge, you forget to pay the guy who had the camera… I don’t know why he filmed that. Like I don’t know why either when I was looking I was like oh s—. I could not believe that he did that,” 50 Cent said.

He added that the material immediately caught his attention when he watched it. The rapper explained, “I was like, ‘yo this is going to be great!’ I’m going to blow the wheels. It was like number one in 31 countries. Netflix was like my friend like pringers. We are blood brothers.”

50 Cent reveals how Diddy reacted to his docuseries

Sean Diddy Combs reportedly watched 50 Cent’s Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning on an iPad while incarcerated. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, 50 Cent said he had not expected Combs to have access to a device that allowed him to browse the internet and watch the series.

Kimmel brought up Diddy’s viewing of the documentary, telling the rapper, “And then it had to be even more satisfying to learn that he watched the documentary.” 50 Cent said he was surprised Combs could access the internet from jail. “Oh, and I didn’t know he would get a jailbroken iPad in the middle of the jail. This is not jail. This is like a club,” he said.

Kimmel humorously followed up by asking, “You’re saying that typically you don’t have an iPad in jail?” 50 Cent replied that Combs had been given access to an iPad that allowed him to browse online. “Yeah. He got a one this open for him to just scour the net like and so he saw the whole the whole thing, you know,” he said.

The rapper then added, “I’m sure he thought it was the best documentary he ever saw in his life.”
