Lord of the Rings Is Finally Returning Next Month Before The Hunt for Gollum

Middle-earth is set to return to Prime Video next month with the latest season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The fantasy series will make its comeback with a third chapter in the ongoing conflict between the Elves and Sauron. Its return also arrives ahead of the highly anticipated The Hunt for Gollum.

The Rings of Power Season 3 will return to Prime Video next month

Prime Video will bring back The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for its third season on November 11, 2026. The platform will release the first four episodes that day, followed by two more episodes on November 18, 2026. The season will conclude with its final episodes on November 25, 2026.

The events of Season 3 unfold five years after the fall of Eregion, with the conflict between the Elves and Sauron entering a new stage. Sauron, now operating openly as the Dark Lord, has taken control of major territories and is preparing for the next stage of his campaign. He focuses on forging the One Ring in Mount Doom to use its power to dominate the peoples of Middle-earth.

That pursuit comes as the Elves and Sauron remain locked in a major war. As his armies continue to expand, Khazad-dûm, Lindon, and Rivendell form alliances to confront the growing threat.

Morfydd Clark returns as Galadriel, with Robert Aramayo as Elrond and Daniel Weyman as Gandalf. The cast also includes Jamie Campbell Bower as Celeborn, Zubin Varla as Khamûl, Eddie Marsan as Thráin, and Andrew Richardson as Anárion.

J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay continue to serve as showrunners and executive producers. Over the years, the series has built a dedicated cult following. The series has not yet received an official renewal for a fourth season despite the upcoming third season.
