Kathryn Hahn might return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner than expected. A new rumor suggests that her character, Agatha Harkness, will appear in the upcoming Disney+ series.
Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha could return in VisionQuest
Known scooper My Time to Shine Hello posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Agatha will appear in VisionQuest, she’s talking to someone but we don’t see who.” Since Ghost Agatha left with Wiccan at the end of Agatha All Along, this could also be the project where Billy Maximoff returns. He could reunite with Tommy, as the latter is confirmed for VisionQuest.
Kathryn Hahn first appeared in 2021’s WandaVision and reprised the role as the lead in 2024’s Agatha All Along. Following that show’s finale, Agatha has not returned to live-action MCU projects. During an interview at D23, Hahn was asked whether Agatha Harkness would return to the MCU. “I mean, I want to. I have no idea, but I sure would love it,” said the actor.
While the character debuted as an antagonist in WandaVision, Agatha’s role expanded in her spin-off. The series ended with Agatha and Billy setting out to find Billy’s brother, Tommy. Agatha is not the only Marvel role Hahn has played. In 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Hahn voiced Dr. Olivia Octavius, a variant of Dock Ock.
The third chapter in the WandaVision trilogy, VisionQuest, is scheduled to premiere this October. The upcoming show will focus on White Vision learning about his past and potentially reuniting with one of his sons. Marvel has not officially commented on whether Agatha or Wanda will return in the show.
Till then, fans can catch Kathryn Hahn outside Marvel. She is expected to reprise the iconic role that propelled her into popularity in The Studio Season 2. The actor will next be seen in Madden, releasing later this year. Following that, Hahn has been cast as Mother Gothel in the live-action remake of Tangled, which releases in 2028.
