A recent rumor suggests that not Avengers: Doomsday, but VisionQuest will be the series significant to the MCU’s Young Avengers/Champions project. VisionQuest was announced by Marvel Studios in 2022 and is set to release on October 14 this year. VisionQuest rumored to set up Marvel’s Champions project
Scooper Alex Perez recently suggested that Marvel’s upcoming series VisionQuest will help set up the Young Avengers/Champions project.
During a recent Q&A session on the Cosmic Circus, a fan asked Perez whether the Young Avengers could ever face a space-level conflict once they are established in the MCU. In response, Perez said that fans will get to witness the Champions in “cosmic storylines” in the MCU in the future if Marvel plans to include “Noh Varr and Hulkling.”
Talking about VisionQuest’s role in setting up the Champions project, Perez added that the show will be “a very important project to look forward to if you want a peek at what Marvel has planned.” He further asserted that James Spader’s Ultron’s wish to “explore life” in the show will be central to it. Perez conveyed, “This show really is all about fathers and sons connecting, whether it’s Ultron with Vision, Vision with Tommy, Vision and Tommy with Billy, or Ultron wanting a son of his own.”
VisionQuest, which is coming to Disney+ in October, is being described as the final installment in the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021. According to a report by Deadline, during an interview with Josh Horowitz in May, Paul Bettany described the series as the “end to a trilogy of sorts, and it is just really good.”
He also called it “super exciting” and stated that he is “really proud of it.”
