A new rumor suggests that Red Hulk, She-Hulk, and four other MCU characters could join forces in Avengers: Secret Wars. Although the upcoming film is a year away, reports about the possible plot and character roles are circulating, fueling anticipation.
Avengers: Secret Wars rumor suggests where Red Hulk could return
Alex Perez of the Cosmic Circus recently held a Q&A on his Patreon/Discord, answering burning queries about the MCU’s future movies and television shows. During the session, a fan, BraveFire, asked, “Are Hulk, Skaar, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, Abomination, and The Leader characters we can expect to be in Greenland (the “Hulk Village” concept art that leaked) and play an important role?”
Perez responded that while it was possible, he wasn’t fully certain. Needless to say, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed this. So right now, it is nothing more than rumor and speculation. Notably, the Greenland concept art, featuring Hulk and She-Hulk in medieval garb, emerged on social media last year.
Earlier this month, MyTimetoShineHello reported that Avengers: Secret Wars could include multiple variants of Hulk and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. However, Mark Ruffalo’s involvement in the film, let alone the entire cast, has not yet been officially confirmed.
Thor is slated to play a major role in Avengers: Doomsday. He will join forces with the other Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men in fighting Doctor Doom. Meanwhile, Hulk has a pivotal part in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where he returns to his savage roots, likely the result of mind control, and ends up fighting the titular hero.
Doomsday premieres on December 18, 2026, while Secret Wars opens on December 17, 2027. Meanwhile, Brand New Day releases on July 31, 2026. Anthony and Joe Russo directed the Avengers films and also co-produced them alongside Marvel Studios through their production banner, AGBO. In addition to Hemsworth, the cast for Doomsday includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, Pedro Pascal, and Simu Liu, among others.
Destin Daniel Cretton helmed Brand New Day from a script penned by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes. Appearing alongside Ruffalo in the film are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Jacob Batalon, Tramell Tillman, and Sadie Sink, among others.
