A new rumor surrounding Man of Tomorrow suggests the DC Universe may have already cast Martian Manhunter. The speculation began after Sinqua Walls joined the film in a mystery role. DCU rumor says Sinqua Walls could be DCU’s Martian Manhunter

A new rumor related to Man of Tomorrow is raising speculation that Sinqua Walls could be playing Martian Manhunter in the upcoming DC Universe film. The actor was recently added to the cast in an undisclosed role. However, new claims from insider Daniel Richtman have now linked Walls directly to the iconic Justice League hero (via Comic Book Movie).

According to Richtman, a casting grid associated with the project reportedly included Martian Manhunter among the roles being filled for the movie. The insider stated, “In a casting grid…it said they were casting Martian Manhunter, so I believe the recent casting was for that. That being said, [James] Gunn likes to call characters by other names on his grids, so we’ll see.” At this stage, neither DC Studios nor Gunn has publicly confirmed whether Martian Manhunter will appear in the film.

The rumor has generated significant interest among DC fans because Martian Manhunter has long been one of the major missing characters from live-action DC films. Known in the comics as J’onn J’onzz, the character is a Martian law enforcement officer who becomes stranded on Earth and later joins the Justice League as one of its founding members.

Speculation surrounding Man of Tomorrow has continued to grow in recent months as reports suggest the project may introduce several important DC characters. Rumors have also linked Wonder Woman to the film.

Current plot details indicate that the story will revolve around Superman facing a global threat posed by Brainiac. In a surprising twist, Superman is reportedly forced to work alongside Lex Luthor. The project is being written and directed by Gunn.

Man of Tomorrow is currently scheduled to be released on July 9, 2027.
