All TV Shows Canceled in May 2026 So Far

Networks and streaming platforms continued canceling and ending multiple scripted series throughout May 2026. Medical dramas, workplace comedies, political thrillers, and legal series all faced cancellations or final-season announcements.

These decisions arrived as studios finalized schedules for the 2026-2027 television season. The affected shows came from Netflix, NBC, Fox, Prime Video, and other major networks and streamers.

Every TV show canceled in May till now

Going Dutch

Fox canceled Going Dutch after two seasons before announcing its 2026-2027 programming slate. The Denis Leary comedy premiered during 2025 and ended its second season last month.

“The arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn is reassigned to the Netherlands,” the official synopsis states. The cast included Taylor Misiak, Danny Pudi, Laci Mosley, and Hal Cumpston.

Brilliant Minds

NBC canceled Brilliant Minds after two seasons following months of speculation about its future. The Zachary Quinto drama posted NBC’s lowest linear drama ratings this season.

NBC removed the series from its schedule during February and replaced it with extended Voice episodes. The remaining six episodes will air on May 27.

Stumble

NBC also canceled Stumble after one season despite strong Rotten Tomatoes audience scores. Jenn Lyon led the cheerleading mockumentary for Universal Television.

The comedy earned an 82% critics’ score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. NBC shifted the show’s schedule before confirming the cancellation.

TV Shows Ending With Final Seasons

The Night Agent

Netflix confirmed The Night Agent will end with its upcoming fourth season. The political thriller debuted during 2023 and became Netflix’s most-watched title during 2023’s first half.

“Ever since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent,’ I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper conclusion,” creator Shawn Ryan said. Season four currently films in Los Angeles for a planned 2027 release.

The Lincoln Lawyer

Netflix announced The Lincoln Lawyer will conclude after its fifth season. Production continues on the final 10-episode season in Los Angeles, adapting Michael Connelly’s Resurrection Walk novel.

Series developers Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez confirmed the team planned a proper ending for Mickey Haller’s story. Cobie Smulders joined the final season as Haller’s previously unknown half-sister, Emi.

From, Gen V, and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place also received cancellation or final-season notices during April and May 2026.
