Huge Netflix Fight To Stream Live Very Soon

Netflix will stream a highly anticipated MMA superfight from the Most Valuable Promotions event next month. The match will pit two of the most popular female MMA athletes against each other, which will be live-streamed exclusively on the streaming giant’s platform.

Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight to stream on Netflix in May

Netflix will stream Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano’s MMA superfight, dubbed Rousey vs. Carano, live on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The prelims start at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT, with the main card at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT (via MVP).

Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is organizing the event, and it is the first live MMA event for Netflix. Reportedly, the two headliners will fight in a hexagon cage under Unified MMA Rules. There will be five 5-minute rounds, and the fighters will wear 4-ounce gloves.

Both female athletes are widely regarded as icons in women’s MMA, which is evident in their long-standing careers. While Rousey has an impressive fight card of 12-2, Carano has 7-1. Naturally, their upcoming fight is likely to be one of the biggest events on the streaming platform, and perhaps even across the industry.

Furthermore, this event will mark Rousey’s return to MMA after she retired in 2016. Subsequently, she was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018, becoming the first UFC women’s champion to be honored (via ESPN).

Meanwhile, Carano is also making a comeback, though after 17 years. After starting her career in Muay Thai, she transitioned to MMA. Carano was one of the first women to fight in a sanctioned female MMA bout. Impressively, she won the match in just 40 seconds.

Rousey vs. Carano fight will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. Interested people can even attend the event by purchasing tickets on the official site. The tickets currently range from $88 to $6,000.
