Underrated Sitcom From Brooklyn Nine-Nine Actors Coming To Netflix

Fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine have a new reason to open Netflix this month. An underrated animated comedy show featuring stars from the iconic show is set to reach a wider audience as Season 1 lands on the streamer very soon. The series first aired on Comedy Central, but it largely flew under the radar despite its sharp writing and strong voice cast.

Digman! Season 1 to stream on Netflix this month

Digman! lands on Netflix on March 17, giving the animated comedy a second life after airing on Comedy Central (via What’s on Netflix). The show first dropped in 2023 and marked Andy Samberg’s first big lead role in an animated series. In addition to voicing the protagonist, Andy Samberg also co-created and executive-produced the project.

The series throws viewers into a wild universe where archaeologists enjoy rockstar-level fame. Rip Digman used to top that world, but now he scrambles to climb back to glory. The comedy runs loud and absurd, blending Indiana Jones-style adventure spoofs with chaotic office humor. Melissa Fumero voices Bella. The lineup also features Tim Robinson, Mitra Jouhari, and Guz Khan, rounding out a cast that keeps the energy unpredictable and fast-paced.

Season one of Digman! runs for eight episodes and comes from CBS Studios, produced alongside The Lonely Island, the comedy crew that includes Andy Samberg. Critics responded warmly when it premiered.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season holds a strong approval rating of 57% from reviewers, while audiences reacted in a more mixed, but still generally positive way. Over on IMDb, the series maintains a solid 6.5 user score, showing steady fan support even if it didn’t explode into a must-watch, viral-hit.

With its move to Netflix, Digman! may find the larger audience it missed the first time. Samberg and Fumero already share strong chemistry from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Now they reunite in animated form, delivering quick jokes, chaotic adventures, and a fresh spin on the treasure-hunting genre.
