Broadcast networks and streaming platforms confirmed multiple cancellation decisions throughout February 2026. The announcements affected long-running renovation programming, franchise-based animation, and an established streaming drama concluding its run.

Rehab Addict

HGTV canceled Rehab Addict in February 2026 following the emergence of footage showing host Nicole Curtis using a racial slur during filming. The network confirmed the decision after becoming aware of the incident and removed the series from its platforms.

In a statement to Variety, HGTV said, “HGTV was recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict. Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees – it does not align with the values of HGTV. Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms.”

The network added, “We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.” Curtis stated to TMZ, “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone.”

Terminator Zero

Netflix canceled Terminator Zero after one season in February 2026. Creator Mattson Tomlin confirmed the cancellation and cited viewership as the reason for the decision.

Tomlin wrote on X, “It was cancelled. The critical and audience reception to it was tremendous, but at the end of the day not nearly enough people watched it. I would’ve loved to deliver on the Future War I had planned in season’s 2 and 3, but I’m also very happy with how it feels contained as is.” The eight-episode series premiered on Netflix in August 2024.

Tell Me Lies

Tell Me Lies concluded with its third season in February 2026, with creator Meaghan Oppenheimer confirming it would not continue. The series finale aired on Hulu on February 16.

Oppenheimer wrote on Instagram, “After three amazing seasons of Tell Me Lies, tonight’s episode will be the series finale. This was always the ending my writing team and I had in mind, and we are insanely proud of it.”

She added, “Your incredible response to this season inspired us to explore whether there was another organic way to continue the story, but ultimately we felt it had reached its natural conclusion.”
