Ralph Fiennes’ Controversial Movie Sets Peacock Streaming Date

Peacock is preparing to add Conclave to its streaming lineup, giving audiences another chance to watch the tense political drama. The film, adapted from Robert Harris’s novel and starring Ralph Fiennes, centers on a secretive Vatican election after the pope’s sudden death.

Conclave to stream on Peacock this month

Peacock is set to add the political thriller Conclave to its streaming library later this month. According to The Wrap, the film will become available to subscribers on February 13, 2026, giving audiences another chance to catch the high profile drama.

The film is directed by Edward Berger and written by Peter Straughan. The story centers on Cardinal Thomas Lawrence, played by Ralph Fiennes. He is appointed to oversee the secretive process of choosing a new pope following the sudden death of the Church’s leader.

As senior cardinals from around the world gather inside the Vatican to vote, Lawrence attempts to conduct the conclave impartially while managing fierce rivalries among the candidates. His task becomes increasingly difficult as he uncovers hidden truths connected to the late leader — discoveries that could disrupt the election.

The ensemble cast includes Stanley Tucci as Cardinal Aldo Bellini, John Lithgow as Cardinal Joseph Tremblay, Lucian Msamati as Cardinal Joshua Adeyemi, Brían F. O’Byrne as Monsignor Raymond O’Malley, and Carlos Diehz as Cardinal Vincent Benitez, among others.

Upon release, Conclave was met with strong reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds a 93 percent critics score from 336 reviews. It also carries 86 percent audience rating on the Popcornmeter.

Neil Young of Sight and Sound wrote, “Conclave is an engrossing ecclesiastical hoot which elegantly compresses a prestige-miniseries’ worth of meaty intrigue and lively incident into two brisk hours.”

According to Box Office Mojo, the film earned about $127 million globally. It earned about $32 million from the domestic theaters and $96 million from the international territories.
