Get Out Director Eyed for New Marvel Movie

Marvel Studios may be exploring a new creative partnership as reports suggest the studio has shown interest in Jordan Peele for an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project. As of now, no official confirmation has been made and details remain limited. However, the new report has sparked attention from fans.

Marvel wants Jordan Peele to direct a new movie

Marvel Studios is reportedly exploring a potential collaboration with Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel has expressed interest in bringing Peele on board to direct an upcoming MCU film. While no formal offer or agreement has been announced, the report indicates that discussions have taken place internally. At this stage, the studio has not linked Peele to any specific title and Marvel has offered no official confirmation.

The rumor follows earlier reporting from Jeff Sneider, who previously stated on The Hot Mic podcast that Peele held a meeting with Marvel Studios regarding a potential directing opportunity.

During that discussion, Peele was reportedly considered for the studio’s X-Men reboot, before Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier was ultimately selected to oversee the project. Sneider later reiterated that while meetings occurred, no project was finalized.

Peele rose to prominence after a successful transition from sketch comedy to filmmaking. He earned widespread critical acclaim with Get Out, winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and earning multiple Oscar nominations. Since then, Peele has built a reputation for directing, with credits including Us, Nope, Candyman, and BlacKkKlansman.

Marvel Studios is currently navigating a transitional period. The studio is developing its Phase 6 slate, which is expected to conclude the Multiverse Saga with Avengers: Secret Wars. The film is currently scheduled for release in December 2027. Following that, the MCU is set to move into Phase 7 beginning in 2028.

As of now, it remains unclear which Marvel project could be offered to Peele. Marvel Studios has not confirmed his involvement in any upcoming film.
