Spider-Man 4 Brings Back Popular Daredevil Character – Report

Spider-Man 4 could reportedly reintroduce a familiar face from Netflix’s Daredevil era. While many fans expected more appearances from headline characters, the latest update points to a supporting figure whose Marvel story was left unfinished.

Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple could return in Spider-Man 4

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Rosario Dawson is going to reprise her role as Claire Temple in Spider-Man 4. He further stated that Dawson could return not only as Claire but also in her role as the vigilantes’ trusted Night Nurse.

Claire Temple was first seen in Daredevil Season 1 as a New York City nurse who repeatedly treated Matt Murdock’s injuries. The character went on to feature across the Defenders Saga, including Luke Cage Season 2, where Claire’s storyline ended after she and Luke Cage parted ways. Her Netflix arc never received a proper ending, and Claire has yet to appear in the Disney+ revival Daredevil: Born Again, despite several other Defenders-era characters returning.

At this stage, Dawson’s involvement remains a rumor, and Marvel Studios has not confirmed her casting. Still, the report aligns with Marvel’s broader push to reintegrate Netflix-era characters into the MCU. With New York once again serving as Spider-Man’s primary setting, Claire Temple’s role as a behind-the-scenes ally to street-level heroes fits naturally into the story.

Moreover, since Tom Holland debuted as Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, audiences have anticipated more crossovers with New York–based Marvel heroes. That connection briefly surfaced in Spider-Man: No Way Home, when Charlie Cox appeared as Matt Murdock.

Additionally, the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to build further on that thread. Jon Bernthal has already been confirmed to play a major role in the film. Now, if confirmed, Rosario Dawson would join a growing cast that already includes Zendaya, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Sadie Sink.

Fans will learn whether Claire Temple truly returns when Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases in theaters on July 31, 2026.
