Netflix’s hit sitcom Leanne has provided a significant update on its return, as new taping dates hint at the potential release window for Season 2. The updated schedule confirms that production will begin at the start of the new year, sparking excitement among fans.
Leanne Season 2 release date could arrive in mid-late 2026
Early production updates indicate that Leanne season 2 may be targeting a release window in mid-late 2026. The estimate follows the confirmation of new audience taping dates, which mark the first significant update since Netflix renewed the comedy series earlier this year.
Season 2 will once again be filmed before a live studio audience at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. According to What’s on Netflix, tapings are currently scheduled for January 9, January 16, January 30, February 6, February 12, and February 27.
Although these dates may not reveal the production schedule, the timeline suggests the possibility of a release window falling in the second half of 2026. Netflix has not confirmed an official premiere date.
The renewal followed the series’ strong performance during its initial run. After premiering on July 31, Season 1 remained in the platform’s global top 10 for two consecutive weeks, continuing its partnership with Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
Season 2’s episode count has not been revealed. Season 1 consisted of 16 episodes, but it is unclear whether the streamer will repeat the same schedule.
