In August 2008, actor Shelley Malil was arrested for premeditated murder after he stabbed his ex-girlfriend 20 times. While in court in September of this year, he stated he stabbed her “by mistake“. Apparently both of those scenarios are illegal. NBC San Diego reports:

An actor who appeared in the film “40-Year-Old Virgin” was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for stabbing his ex-girlfriend more than 20 times. Shelley Malil was in court Thursday in connection to the brutal attack in Vista. Three months ago, a jury convicted him attempted premeditated murder and assault with a deadly weapon. On Thursday, Judge Harry Elias gave the actor the maximum sentence. When all is said and done, with time already served, plus the additional five years, Malil will be eligible for parole in about nine or 10 years.

I think I’m the only celebrity gossip blog that’s been posting about this whole thing, and I guess it’s obvious why. Really, who gives a shit? But I am a man of principle and character so I like to follow things through to completion. Speaking of which, if you ever kill a Thai prostitute, think about using the garbage disposal. Those chicks are really skinny.
