Yeah, I think I’ll stick to Pixar.

The Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness is all about showing off the best of the up-and-coming horror films in hopes of satisfying fans looking to be freaked the hell out. And looking to get scared is fine. That is unless you’re so scared you get a damn seizure. But that’s exactly what happened when some poor dude when to the screening of a movie called Revenge.

Revenge, described as a “bloody rape thriller,” is directed by French director, Coralie Fargeat and stars Matilda Lutz. The film is all about Lutz’s character, named Jen, heading out for a weekend away with her boyfriend and two friends. But things don’t obviously go as planned as Jen she is stalked, assaulted and left for dead.

Well, Jen then decides to find her attackers and get…revenge. So essentially it’s like I Spit on your Grave.  But one scene in Revenge was enough to give a dude a seizure.

Here’s what the director had to say about all this chaos:

“We started to hear someone say, ‘hello, hello,’ from the audience. I didn’t know if it was someone making [a joke] in the room, then I see the paramedics in the cinema. Apparently, from what I’ve been told, a guy had a seizure. But I think he’s fine!”

Pretty funny that the director added, “I think he’s fine!” Hey, you don’t want your movie to literally kill your audience, right? Well the man is in the hospital and he is now stabilized.

And what was the scene that made the dude suffer a a seizure? Well apparently it involved one of the characters removing a large piece of glass from his foot. Yep, that will do it.
