Hello! It Looks Like ‘The Book Of Mormon’ Is Finally Coming To Sydney

Hello Sydney!

We’ve got some swell news for you, because it looks like The Book Of Mormon — the award-winning musical from the creators of South Park — is finally coming to Sydney for a whole ‘lotta baptising, do-gooding and repeated calls of “Hasa Diga Eebowai” (dw, you’ll get it when you see it).

The good news comes thanks to a bunch of The Book Of Mormon posters, which have been spotted on the streets of Sydney this week, with the words “The Mormons Are Coming!”.

Speaking with Marie Claire, the musical’s publicist, Ian Phipps, has confirmed that the ads went up on Tuesday. He also teased that the musical “might be coming” to Sydney.

The musical, which tells the tale of two young mormons on a whirlwind trip to Africa to preach their religion, has been in Melbourne exclusively since February, and will remain there until at least mid-November.

Earlier this year, South Park‘s Trey Parker and Matt Stone told the ABC, “We’d love it to stay [in Melbourne] as long as it can and then move to Sydney and stay as long… That’s the dream.”
