Best 3 Shows On Discovery’s Summer Line-up

Discovery, Canada’s most-watched entertainment specialty network in primetime, has unveiled a new summer lineup, and in addition to a number of new series like Devil’s Canyon and Hacking The Wild with digital survivalist Andy Quitmeyer, these are three of the best shows on Discovery’s summer line-up.

The summer schedule is headlined by Discovery’s annual must-see television event Shark Week. With details to be announced soon, Discovery gives viewers a dose of “Vitamin Sea” with eight days of shark-infused content taking over primetime beginning at 7pm from Sunday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 30th.

But first, Discovery kicks off its summer programming slate with new series Cooper’s Treasure, which is airing Sundays at 8pm beginning June 4th. The all-new, six-part documentary series follows treasure hunter Darrell Miklos in his search for a collection of shipwrecks that late NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper spotted from space.

Following Cooper’s Treasure on Sundays is an all-new season of Yukon Men, airing at 9pm, also beginning June 4th. This season, the villagers of Tanana, Alaska face extinction as the largest wildfire in the country ravages the Alaskan wilderness and threatens to wipe the town off the map.

The new summer programming continues throughout the season on Discovery’s suite of networks: Discovery Velocity, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, and Discovery Science.
