Watch Our Facebook Live Q&A With ‘Resident Evil’ Director Paul W.S. Anderson

Lots of horror franchises claim to have a “final chapter”, only to turn right around and make one more sequel anyway. Not so for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Or at least, not according to the franchise’s writer, and the director of four out of the six installments. In our latest Facebook Live Q&A, Paul W.S. Anderson says this is the end of the road for Resident Evil, at least as far as he’s concerned.

Film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold spoke with Paul W.S. Anderson about his lengthy history with Resident Evil, the controversies about their adaptations, and his many other films. They learn that despite the massive cult following for Event Horizon, Anderson has no plans to revisit the sci-fi horror film with either a sequel or a director’s cut. They learn exactly how Paul W.S. Anderson felt when he discovered that Ridley Scott’s Prometheus had the exact same plot as his film, Alien vs. Predator. And they learned the real reason why Anderson never directed his adaptation of Castlevania.
