Insomniac Games has spoken out against Donald Trump’s immigration ban, with the Spider-Man developers posting a video stating that they find the executive order “deplorable” and “discriminatory.”
CEO Ted Price stood alongside his members of staff as he denounced the ban, which will prevent immigrants and travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries from gaining entry to the United States for an extended period of time. “At Insomniac, we hire people of all national origins and religious faiths,” Price said. “In fact, I’m surrounded by Insomniacs like Sophie, Leroy, and Jason who have joined us from around the world to create unforgettable experiences, and to help make the world a better place through the stories we tell.”

Price continued: “There’s no question that these orders will harm us as a company and many of our team members. So we ask: is this the American way? Is discriminating based on religious faith or national origin American? Absolutely not. This is a deplorable, discriminatory act that we and many others across the nation believe is patently unconstitutional. We have been, we are and we will always be a nation of immigrants.”
Price then asked Insomniac’s fans to “do something about it,” requesting that they contact their congressperson to express opposition to the executive order, or support the organizations who are fighting against the ban. The CEO concludes the video by requesting that viewers “join us in being a force for good.”
Insomniac Games was founded in 1994. Alongside creating the Ratchet and Clank series, the developer is also known for developing Resistance and Sunset Overdrive, with the team currently working on the aforementioned, heavily anticipated PS4 Spider-Man game.
