Cowboys Fan Dumped Before Christmas Gets Last Laugh

The Dallas Cowboys pummeled the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football 42-21. But that beat-down may not even come close to the painful, punch-to-the-gut one man must be feeling after seeing his ex-fiancee go viral.

According to Fox 4 Dallas, a woman attending Monday night’s game intended on giving her fiance Cowboys tickets for Christmas … until he broke up with her just before the holiday.

Check out the innocuous sign gone viral.

In a sign she brought to the Cowboys-Lions game that has gone viral, Brenna Clanton wrote “My fiance dumped me in a text message. He should have waited until after Christmas.”

According to Sports Day, the seats were “unbelievably close,” in section C114.

The article also says Clanton, 30, splurged on Airbnb as well for the couple’s stay.

They were engaged in June. Clanton was blown away when her fiance broke up with her in November — a week after buying the Cowboys tickets — over text message. Reportedly, one reasoning was because he felt the two had “nothing in common,” which explains the #NothingInCommon on Clanton’s sign.

So, Clanton took her best friend to the game instead and made possibly the greatest revenge sign in sports history.

Dudes, never, ever break up with your significant other right before a holiday. Unless it’s Valentine’s Day. Who wants to pay for flowers?
