What’s that? You’re not looking forward to seeing A Christmas Story play for 24 hours on Christmas day? Well neither is the rest of the country because according to the map below that movie is not the most popular movie in any of the states. Sorry, Ralphie.

So while there are plenty of holiday animated specials on TV, it is all about the movies during the holiday season. From Home Alone to Christmas Vacation, everyone has their favorite, and now we know how that looks on a map. CableTV.com released a map showing each state’s most popular movie by cross-referencing AMC’s (and voted for by the public) list of Top 20 Christmas Movies. They also combined that with Google Trends data from the past decade. And these were the results.
