Watch ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ 4K Restoration Trailer

The first trailer for the 4K restoration of The Man Who Fell to Earth has been released, highlighting what the ’70s sci-fi flick will look like when making the jump to Ultra HD.

The remastered version of Nicolas Roeg’s cult classic will be released to coincide with its 40th anniversary, nearly one year after the passing of star David Bowie. In the film Bowie plays Thomas Jerome Newton, a humanoid alien marooned on Earth after searching for water for his dying planet.

A digitally restored version of the film was previously available on DVD, though this is the first time it will be available to view in high definition, let alone 4K.

The Man Who Fell To Earth will receive a theatrical re-release on September 9, with it also being released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 24. These will include bonus material from the film, though it seems that the Blu-ray release will not boast a 4K resolution.
