Louis C.K. Surprises Montreal At Just For Laughs Festival

The Just For Laughs Festival recently announced that Louis C.K.’s is returning to the festival.

Louis C.K. returns to Montreal for a solo performance, his first in the city since the Festival’s 2011 edition. In January 2015, he became the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden four times on the same tour. The third show was recorded and released as a digital audio download on his website, and went on to earn a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album this year. Louis C.K. has received over 30 Emmy nominations throughout his career, including wins for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for his work on the FX series Louie. Additionally, he has previously won two Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album. Louis can currently be seen starring in Horace and Pete, a drama he both writes and directs. The New York Times says, “It’s probing, engaged and moving. Horace and Pete is a riveting series!” The show debuted in January 2016 and is distributed directly through his website, louisck.net. Louis C.K. will perform at Maison Symphonique at Place Des Arts on July 28th at 9pm.

More than 200 artists have already been announced to perform in Montreal this month, including Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kevin Hart, Judd Apatow, P.K. Subban, Nathan Lane and Jeff Goldblum.
