George Lucas Visited the ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Set
George Lucas visited the set of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and promptly terrified Gareth Edwards, the director said.
During the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story panel at Star Wars Celebration 2016, Edwards revealed that the creator of the franchise showed up on set one day in order to see how the spin-off film was coming along. Speaking to host Gwendoline Christie, Edwards said: “I challenge you to think of a more surreal experience than showing George Lucas a Star Wars film.
He continued: “He’d criticize something… but then you’d realize he was telling a joke. He has a very dry sense of humor”
Edwards concluded: “None of this would be happening if it wasn’t for George Lucas. The guy’s a genius.”
Brand new footage of Rogue One was debuted during the panel, which you can view right here.
