Glastonbury Flooded: Festival Already Drenched Before it’s Even Started

Glastonbury is already flooded before the festival has even begun, with video footage and photos taken from the camp site highlighting how those who are preparing to descend upon the festival this week will likely need to pack an extra pair of wellies.

Footage of workers arriving at Worthy Farm before the gates officially open depict its fields as being completely waterlogged, with roads leading towards the sites having been flooded due to excessive rainfall in Somerset. Glastonbury organisers have hired staff to help them clear out the mud and rainwater currently littering the site, but it looks like that task may prove to be too difficult.

Take a look at lorry drivers attempting to drive past the site last week:

Twitter users have also posted images of the Glastonbury floods, with the Other Stage seemingly having suffered a great deal from the bad weather:

The roads leading into the festival don’t look too inviting, either:

Hopefully the staff currently working to improve the site will be able to work their magic ahead of the festival, but at the moment it isn’t looking too optimist.
