In a new poll ranking the popularity of British royal family members, Meghan Markle is dealt a brutal blow. Despite her own low popularity, she is not the least liked. Instead, it is another family member. Meanwhile, Prince William and his wife, Princess Katherine, occupy the top spots on the poll, thanks to their undeniable charm and connection with the British public.
Ex-Prince Andrew is less popular than Meghan Markle, per new poll
The Daily Express published a report on November 3, sharing details of a poll they conducted in October 2026 to find out which royal family members are the most popular. According to this report, Prince Harry has a 60% negative score, and only 29% of the voters have a positive opinion of him. Meanwhile, a mere 20% people see Meghan Markle positively.
While this is certainly a low rating, Ex-Prince Andrew has left behind even the former actress in terms of negative popularity. The 66-year-old has an 89% negative score and a measly 4% positive rating, ranking last in the poll of popularity.
The figures also showed that 41% of the voters did not know how they felt about the York sisters. 31% view Beatrice negatively, while 29% like her, putting her at a score of -2. Her younger sister had a similar fate, with a 28% positive rating and a 31% negative score.
On the other hand, Prince William has an impressive 74% positive approval rating, with only 18% viewing him negatively. Meanwhile, Princess Catherine has a 72% positive rating and just 14% negative. These ratings have established the couple as the most popular members of the royal family.
Other senior working royals also have the support of the British public. King Charles holds a 58% positive rating, and Princess Anne has a 68% positive rating. Regardless of ex-Prince Andrew’s dwindling reputation and the rift between the Sussexes and the Waleses, the public has a generally good view of the royal family, with a 58% positive rating.
