Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about her decision to keep her signature bangs. The actress discussed her changing style and hair choices during a new interview. However, she has not decided whether she will keep the hairstyle permanently.
Jennifer Lawrence sets the record straight on the future of her bangs
Lawrence discussed her hairstyle during an interview with Allure. She revisited memorable red carpet outfits and looks from her movies. The conversation also explored her history of changing her hair color for roles.
Lawrence frequently dyed her hair dark while filming The Hunger Games franchise. Between productions, she returned to her natural blonde shade. When asked whether her bangs were here to stay, the actress offered a cautious answer.
“Maybe,” Lawrence replied when discussing the future of her fringe. She explained that aging played a role in her decision to keep her bangs. “I think because I’m only getting more wrinkled and I’m not going to start getting more Botox,” she shared.
However, Lawrence has not ruled out growing her bangs out eventually. She admitted that her love of change might eventually lead her to try a different hairstyle. “I get bored, and I like change, so maybe I’ll grow them out,” she added.
Beyond experimenting with hairstyles, the actress has also ventured into the haircare industry. Lawrence recently launched Mes, a haircare brand developed with scientist Jasmina Aganovic. The company describes its approach as “biodesigned haircare.”
Lawrence said her personal experiences helped inspire the venture. “My hair has always been such a big part of my life,” she shared. She also explained that her experiences with hair products left her with several unanswered questions.
Lawrence later teamed up with Aganovic to turn her ideas into reality. “And so I was always a big consumer with hair products, but I also felt like I had a lot of problems and questions that I needed answering,” Lawrence said.
In a separate interview with The Cut, Lawrence described the brand as another creative outlet. She compared the excitement of developing products to creating a character for a film. For now, her bangs remain part of her look, although she has left room for change.
